The Founder's Story

IT STARTED WITH A SIMPLE WISH — TO PLAY CRICKET LIKE A REAL TEAM

I grew up watching cricket like millions of others in India. But what I remember most isn't just the matches — it's the teams. The way they walked out in matching jerseys, with their names on the back, looking like they belonged together. That image stuck with me.

Growing up in Ranchi, I played a lot of gully cricket. We had teams — kind of. We'd pick sides, play all day, argue about who was out and who wasn't. But we never had anything to show that we were a team. No jersey, no logo, nothing. Just random t-shirts and a lot of enthusiasm.

"I always thought — what if our local team could look like that? What if we had our own jersey, our own name on it? That would change the whole feeling of the game."

As I got older, I realized I wasn't alone. There are thousands of local teams across India — colony teams, office teams, college teams, weekend warrior teams — and most of them have never had a proper jersey. Not because they don't want one, but because getting one custom-made always felt like something only "big" teams could afford or organize.

That's the gap I wanted to fill. Not by being a giant manufacturer, but by being the one person your team could reach out to and say, "Hey, we need 15 jerseys with our name on it" — and actually get it done. Simply. Honestly. Without overcomplicating it.

So I started My Team Cricket under CC INNOVATIONS in 2023. The idea was straightforward — you tell me what you want, I design it for you (for free), and if you like it, we print it and ship it. No complicated process. No giant minimums. Just a conversation and a commitment to make your team look the way you've always imagined.

I'm not going to pretend we're a big company. We're small. But we're real, and we put genuine effort into every design and every order. If you're building a team, or running a tournament, or just want a jersey that means something to your group — I'd be happy to help.

Gourav realized that thousands of local cricket teams across India play without any team identity. No jerseys, no kits, nothing to make them feel like a proper squad. That realization planted the seed for My Team Cricket.

The business was formally incorporated as CC INNOVATIONS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED in Jharkhand in 2023, giving the idea a legal structure and a real foundation to build on.

FIRST DESIGNS WERE CREATED

Gourav started designing mockups for local teams in Ranchi — understanding what people wanted, what worked on fabric, and how to translate ideas into real jerseys.

The brand launched online as myteamcricket.site — making custom jersey design and ordering accessible to teams across India, not just in Ranchi.
